Cherokee Enrichment
The ERT (Enrichment Resource Teacher) works with flexible groups of children who have demonstrated through classroom performance that they need learning extensions. In kindergarten, first, second, and third grades, teachers and the ERT informally group throughout the year to reflect children’s readiness, interests, and needs. The ERT (Mrs. Osman) and homeroom teachers plan together and decide on ways for the ERT to work with children. The Enrichment Resource Teacher:
* Works with changing groups of children in areas including language arts, math, and social studies outside or within the classroom.
* Assists the teacher with differentiating teaching and activities to meet children’s learning needs.
